Ooredoo has launched its annual Ramadan promotion “Karaa Felhun”, offering a top prize worth MVR 100,000 as part of a game that begins next Wednesday with the start of Ramadan.
The grand prize is a Creator Bundle valued at MVR 100,000, which includes an iPhone 17 Pro, a MacBook, an iPad, a drone and an Osmo Pocket Creator.
Speaking at the launch event, Ooredoo Chief Commercial Officer Hussain Niyaz said this year’s edition of the game is “more exciting than last year”, with new features added to enhance the experience.
The highlight of the promotion is the Watermelon Quest, a map‑based challenge where players must travel to designated locations to find virtual watermelons.

According to Niyaz, everyone who participates will receive free data and daily special prizes. He said the aim is to create a fun, social experience that strengthens connections among players.
This year’s game is designed for group participation, allowing family and friends to play together by joining either the Red Army or the Blue Army through the Ooredoo app.
The name “Karaa Felhun”, literally “breaking watermelons”, is a Maldivian idiom associated with bluffing or playful trickery. Ooredoo has once again adapted the phrase creatively, blending the cultural fondness for watermelons during Ramadan with a humorous, well‑known expression.
