11-year sentence for child molester under plea agreement

Criminal Court has sentenced a child molester to 11 years in prison under a plea agreement executed with the state.

Not much information regarding the case has been disclosed as it implicates a child.

The defendant in the case was charged with touching a minor with sexual intention. A plea agreement was executed between the defendant and the Prosecutor General’s Office.

Entering a plea agreement provides leniency when it comes to punishment.

Criminal Court, on December 31st, sentenced the defendant to 11 years in prison. The minimum punishment for the crime under the law is 10 years, while the maximum punishment for the crime is 14 years.

The case report has not been published as the case involves the child. Hence, it is unclear how the punishment was decided.
